As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for operating large goods vehicles in the collection, transfer, and disposal of waste and recyclables within the council's boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate large goods vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collect, transfer, and dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with council policies and procedures.
  • Work as a refuse loader, walking up to miles per day, and may be required to work on public holidays.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and equipped for safe operation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Valid Category C driving licence.
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • Digital drivers tachograph card.
  • Proven experience of working unsupervised, with the ability to work as part of a team.
