Desktop Engineer

Job Overview: We're looking for a skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team in Hull. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to colleagues across the company.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will have experience in desktop support in a commercial or managed service desk role. They'll be responsible for building, installing, and configuring PCs and mobile devices, including redeployment of existing hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Desktop Support: Provide technical support to colleagues via face-to-face interactions, email, and phone calls.
• Desktop Estate Management: Manage the company's desktop estate, ensuring all systems are running smoothly.
• Active Directory Administration: Assist the IT Systems Engineer with user, server, and network administration tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in desktop support in a commercial or managed service desk role.
• Strong issue investigation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine passion for technology and its practical application.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
