Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Physical Education (PE) teacher to join our team at a highly prestigious mixed school in Southwark.

The successful candidate will have the ability to teach at KS3, KS4 and 5, and possess a formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE).

The school boasts an approachable and supportive head of department, and has a well-resourced department with excellent behaviour and able students.

The school is committed to providing a high-quality education, with a well above Progress 8 score and Outstanding Ofsted report categorisation.

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent transport links and a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • To teach PE at KS3, KS4 and 5, following the National Curriculum requirements.
  • To assess, record and report student progress, using appropriate assessment tools and methods.
  • To maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement and progress.
Requirements
  • A strong track record of teaching PE at secondary level, with excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills.
  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE), and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
