Miryco Consultants Ltd: Junior Developer Python

Miryco Consultants Ltd is working with an entrepreneurial, high-growth RegTech Consultancy, servicing top-tier asset managers, investment banks, and insurers.

This is a junior-level developer role and looking for experience using Python.

You will be joining a team where they will be working on their new Market surveillance tool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking business, with a flat structure, with a lot of space to grow professionally.

Responsibilities:
  • Getting up to speed with the current code base.
  • Utilizing the existing code base to create additional product offerings from our product pipeline.
  • Engaging across functions to get requirements from the advisory team and implement them accordingly.
  • Analyzing the results and providing insights on what should be the outcome of the project.
  • Learning from industry experts on how financial markets and regulations work.
  • Growing into a senior member of the team that would eventually own a product.
Desired Skills:
  • Excellent programming and technology skills, including an in-depth understanding of an object-oriented programming language – preferably Python.
  • Data management concepts – preferably Pandas Dataframe or SQL.
  • A minimum 2.1 degree obtained in Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
  • A desire to understand and solve business problems, build domain knowledge, and increase market understanding.
  • The ability to understand the development process from start to finish.
