Charity Shop Volunteer Assistant

Sue Ryder is a leading UK charity retailer with over 400 shops, providing 7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement, and emotional support every year. As a Charity Shop Volunteer Assistant at Sue Ryder, you will play a vital role in helping us to provide the best customer experience while raising funds for our Palliative and Bereavement services.
About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity to gain transferable skills, make new friends, and become part of your local community. You will be working as part of a team to sort and price donations, greet and assist customers, serve on the till, and maintain shop displays. The estimated salary for this role is £10-12 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet donors, receive donations, and sign them up for Gift Aid
- Sort, label, and price stock
- Greet and help customers
- Serve customers on the till (training provided)
- Maintain shop displays and re-stock shelves
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive individuals who enjoy helping and engaging with customers. You should have good communication skills, be reliable, and able to work as part of a team.
