
Design Engineer Specialist

Welcome to Wright Engineering, a leading steel fabrications company. We are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our Workshop Production team on a full-time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects from site measurements to project completion, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee design aspects of projects, including site measurements, customer liaison, and material procurement.
- Develop and maintain accurate design deliverables, including GAs and fabrication drawings.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project health and safety, quality, and environmental considerations are met throughout the construction process.
Requirements:
- Degree/HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in Auto CAD, SolidWorks, PDM, or Inventor.
- Experience working on heavy construction or bulk handling sites, including knowledge of CDM regulations and relevant design standards.
- Ability to transfer 2D designs to 3D models and work with large assemblies.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for remote work and occasional on-site travel. Full UK Clean Driving Licence is required.
