Regulatory Lawyer

A unique opportunity has arisen with a leading global insurance and reinsurance firm for a regulatory lawyer with an insurance sector coverage or commercial lawyer with regulatory experience.
About the RoleThis individual will become a crucial member of the legal team, advising senior stakeholders across the business globally on a range of matters including UK and EU regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert advice on FCA/PRA rules and Lloyd's regulations in the insurance industry.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and insurance specific agreements.
- Support corporate governance, data privacy, complaints handling, and other legal matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Deliver legal training to the business and liaison with external counsel when required.
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 4+ years' experience gained in-house and/or private practice, holding a strong background in UK and EU insurance regulatory matters.
- Experience as a regulatory lawyer or commercial lawyer with regulatory expertise is essential.
- A solid understanding of insurance law is highly preferable.
We encourage candidates outside of this PQE range with relevant experience to apply. The salary for this role is estimated at £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
