Job Title: Team Leader

Elton Hall Care Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the Care Centre and creating a positive atmosphere for Service Users. This role involves supervising staff members, assessing social and health care needs, administering medicines, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and support staff members to ensure they contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Care Centre.
  2. Take responsibility for Service User care in the absence of the Home Manager.
  3. Assess social and health care needs of new Service Users and maintain ongoing assessment and review of all other Service Users.
  4. Administer prescribed medicines and maintain accurate records.
  5. Maintain accurate records and ensure each Service User has an individualised Care Plan.
  6. Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Service Users with daily living tasks.
  7. Assist Service Users with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, providing supervision and attention when required.
  8. Closely monitor Service Users with confusion or behavioural problems.
  9. Assist in promoting continence and delivering care for Service Users with progressive illnesses.
  10. Observe care planning needs and complete daily records as instructed.
  11. Assist in social activities by interacting with Service Users and helping them continue with hobbies and activities.
  12. Answer the Nurse Call system and respond accordingly.
  13. Report on the well-being of Service Users and make Visitors feel welcome.
  14. Ensure full privacy and dignity is maintained for the dying and bereaved.
  15. Assist Service Users with meal times, being aware of swallowing difficulties and dietary requirements.
  16. Escort Service Users on social outings and hospital visits.
  17. Practice maximum integrity in dealings with Service Users' personal and financial affairs.

  • Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
