Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Active Personnel Recruitment LTD. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, taking into account labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing trends and construction methods.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 City & Guilds in electrical installation as a minimum.
  • 3 + years post-qualified experience in electrical contracting.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of cost control techniques would be advantageous.
