Automation Service Engineer - The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Service Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts. As an Automation Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing reactive and proactive service support for automation and instrumentation systems for a range of customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Calibration services
  • Complete installation and retrofits of drives
  • Provide on-site maintenance services to clients on a short-term and long-term basis

Automation Service Engineer - The Person:

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with Siemens PLC software. Additional experience with Rockwell is a plus. You should be able to read electrical schematics and have the ability to fault find and replace drives.

You will be required to travel to customer sites on short notice for breakdowns and call outs. A formal electrical qualification is a must, and you must be methodical and detail-oriented.

You will also have the opportunity to work on a large contract upgrading control panels across a site, with additional opportunities for further training within PLC software and control panel hardware design.

Location:

The majority of our customers are based in the North East, and you will be based commutable to our main office location for training and panel testing. Locations could include within or around Sunderland, Gateshead, Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Seaham, and Peterlee.
