We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day running of our gym, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the gym team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives.
  • Assume responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless operations and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive commercial performance, including sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to deliver operational excellence, including staff training and development.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a management position within a leisure or fitness industry, ideally with a focus on operations and customer service.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and inspiring team members to achieve their best.
  • Hold a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in driving sales and marketing initiatives, as well as managing successful teams.
  • Desirable: experience as an Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager, with a strong understanding of operational functions within a leisure facility.
