We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in a well-established residential service. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults with emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
- Mentor and support newer staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives
- Maintain a safe and homely environment
- Deal with challenging behaviours when necessary
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support independence and well-being
- Maintain a safe environment
- Ensure the safety of students and maintain up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans
- Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People is essential
- Full UK Driving Licence is required
- Over 21 years old
- NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is essential
