About the Role:
This Agricultural Operations Manager opportunity has arisen at a dynamic and growing vegetable farm located in East Anglia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the farm, including planting, harvesting, and crop management. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Farm Manager in overseeing daily farm operations, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain farm equipment and infrastructure, implementing sustainable practices to enhance yield while maintaining environmental responsibility.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics teams, and customers to meet delivery schedules and market demands.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in farming, preferably in vegetable crop production, with strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop cycles, and soil management.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively, with proficiency in operating farm machinery and tools.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in agriculture, with flexibility to work longer hours during peak seasons.
