About the Role:
The Wayman Group is seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Head of Physics at an outstanding school in Enfield. This is a unique opportunity for a talented and dedicated educator to lead the Physics department and contribute to the academic environment of the school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Physics department to ensure the delivery of exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
- Develop and implement an innovative and comprehensive Physics curriculum that aligns with national standards and examination requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that stimulates students' curiosity and passion for Physics.
- Monitor and evaluate student and teacher performance, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues from various departments to promote interdisciplinary learning and encourage cross-curricular connections.
- Regularly communicate with parents, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
- Contribute to departmental and school-wide meetings, actively participating in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a related field; a postgraduate degree is highly desirable.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with a track record of achieving exceptional results.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with previous experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
- Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
