Casual Associate Teacher / Teaching Assistant for Bradford Virtual School

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver short-term interventions in education placements with children in care of all ages who need additional support to progress with their learning.
  • Support schools' proactive planning, react to the unexpected, and remove barriers to progress.
  • Actively promote inclusive practices and ensure the education, social, emotional, and health development of Virtual School pupils is fully supported.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to meet the needs of vulnerable groups.

Requirements:

  • Understanding and commitment to raising standards and attainment for children in care.
  • Teaching experience within the primary, secondary, or further education phases.
  • Experience of multi-agency working and understanding of the needs of vulnerable groups.
  • An understanding of strategies to support education providers to meet the needs of children in care.

Working Arrangements:

This is a casual, occasional role with flexible hours and location. An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
