Berkshire Care Centre is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ina Grafton Gage Home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centered care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who can provide direct supervision, leadership, and education to other members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for notifying physicians of changes in resident's health status and ensuring accurate documentation of medications and treatment orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of resident-focused delivery of care.
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to other members of the healthcare team.
- Notify physicians of changes in resident's health status and ensure accurate documentation.
- Facilitate ongoing monitoring and auditing of annual physicals & heights, residents' expressed wishes, lab orders, and availability of nursing supplies.
- Conduct unit rounds at the beginning, throughout, and end of shift.
- Act as a mentor and coach for registered staff in clinical areas, communication, personal and professional development.
- Identify areas of education for capacity building in registered staff.
Requirements:
- Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
- Must meet all legal requirements within a context of promoting individuals' rights and measuring/reducing elements of risk.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
- Competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus benefits.
