About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a key member of our management structure, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our services to customers and ensuring the wellbeing and requirements of our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily and weekly scheduling and management of the operational teams' workload, ensuring specific routes and rounds are followed, and recommending alternative solutions with consideration to geography, customer type, and equipment required.
  • Undertake various safety inspections for the purpose of better protecting our staff, customers, and the public, including site safety inspections, vehicle inspections, and equipment checks.
  • Plan, organise, and supervise all equipment, staff, and materials to avoid wastage and ensure compliance with required standards, including chemical usage that complies with current legislation.
  • Have a proficient understanding of contract agreements and risk management.
Requirements
  • Full clean driving license
  • Enhanced DBS Check (carried out by us)
  • Knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping operations, as well as the local area
  • Organised and resourceful with prior low-level management or team leader experience
