Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maths Specialist Support Assistant to join our team at Capital City College Group. As a Maths Specialist Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students in their academic journey, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students in Maths, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each individual.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of Maths lessons, including setting up equipment and materials.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness and making recommendations for future support.
  • Contribute to the development of Maths resources and materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students.

Requirements:
  • A good general level of education, with GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Experience of providing support to students with a range of needs, including 1:1, in-class, and group support.
  • Ability to differentiate support modes to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
