Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £30,000 - £35,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

This role involves assisting the lead teacher in creating engaging lessons and providing individualised support to students, ensuring each child can thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and implement educational activities with the lead teacher.
  2. Provide one-on-one support to children, especially those with special educational needs.
  3. Enhance communication between students, teachers, and parents to improve the learning experience.
  4. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
  5. Support children with daily tasks, including personal care for toddlers if necessary.
  6. Monitor and document student progress, offering feedback to the teaching staff.
  7. Collaborate with other professionals to develop strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably in special education or toddler care.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A background in supporting children with diverse needs.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when necessary.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their development.
