We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Underwriter to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading insurance company and contribute to the success of our Aviation Business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the overall profitability, growth, and retention of the Aviation Business by underwriting and processing new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
- Monitor rate adequacy of all business written or handled for the Aviation Business, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Underwriting Team to develop and implement underwriting initiatives that drive business growth and profitability.
- Utilize appropriate systems to accurately enter quotes, risks, and endorsements, ensuring correct management, statistical, and regulatory reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, working closely with underwriters to ensure timely and professional service.
- Promote Travelers' Line of Business, distribution strategy, and philosophy, building strong partnerships with Agents, Brokers, and Customers.
- Previous experience working within the London market insurance industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Able to determine priorities and effectively schedule time, with a positive attitude and business professional manner.
- Expected to either already be studying or be willing to study towards the ACII qualification through an apprenticeship.
- Private Medical Insurance: Eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for dependents at your expense through payroll deduction.
- Retirement: Travelers will make a core contribution of a percentage of salary to your Pension Plan, with the option to contribute and receive an increased company contribution.
