Job Overview:

Austin Fraser is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer - Project Manager to join our team in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects from concept to completion, meeting British Standards, Building Regulations, and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Directors to allocate resources effectively, ensuring timely project delivery within budget.
  • Guide project design from concept to completion, meeting British Standards, Building Regulations, and client requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, manage client relationships, and oversee project operations, including site visits and inspections.
  • Support team development through mentoring and quality review of junior engineers' work.
  • Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project costs, including managing any changes.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification: BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in AutoCAD, Tekla, and experienced with British Standards/Eurocodes
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage projects, supervise junior staff, and ensure quality.
  • Project Delivery: Experience in delivering projects across sectors, including residential, healthcare, and education.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
