Job Summary:

Gold Group is seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Specialist to join our esteemed Product Safety Team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of iconic RAF projects, ensuring the safety and integrity of products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Analysis: Conduct thorough safety evaluations for aircraft and support products, from concept to qualification, utilizing techniques such as Preliminary Hazard Identification, System/Sub-System Hazard Analysis, HAZOP, System Safety Assessment, Fault Tree Analysis, and Event Tree Analysis.
  2. Safety Justifications: Provide robust safety certification arguments and evidence for platform and support products.
  3. Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments for weapon platforms and support products to ensure continued airworthiness.
  4. Task Allocation: Assign tasks to qualified team members and oversee their career development.

Requirements:

  1. Safety Engineering: Strong background in Safety Engineering with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  2. Safety Standards: Familiarity with safety standards such as Def-Stan 00-55/00-56, Mil-Std-882, DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754, ARP 4761 or EN 61508.
  3. Safety Tools: Proficiency with tools like Fault Tree Analysis +, Reliability Workbench, and Goal Structured Notation (GSN).
