Inventory Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our client, a leading company based in the UK.
About the Role:- As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating best practice inventory management systems and processes to achieve customer service and cost-effectiveness goals.
- You will manage spare parts inventory, including refurbishment management, COSHH compliance, and stock optimisation through criticality analysis.
- The role involves conducting regular cycle counts and full stock counts to ensure stock accuracy and turnover reporting through the CMMS system (Mainsaver/Spidex).
- You will establish and maintain engineering materials and spares within the company CMMS, ensuring accurate descriptions and setting minimum/maximum order points.
- Additionally, you will actively seek and deliver cost-effective and efficient inventory solutions.
- In this role, you will lead 5S initiatives within the engineering stores, maintaining visual management processes and standards.
- You will develop and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Collaboration with engineering projects is key to anticipating and fulfilling incoming parts requirements.
- The role also involves scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans, ensuring alignment with materials availability and lead times.
- You will identify opportunities to improve maintenance cost-effectiveness and manage obsolete stock.
- Maintaining health and safety standards for self and others within the stores environment is crucial.
- We are looking for someone with proven experience in inventory management and engineering stores operations.
- A proficiency in CMMS systems, preferably Mainsaver or Spidex, is essential.
- Strong understanding of 5S standards, refurbishment processes, and COSHH compliance is required.
- Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving are necessary.
- You should be able to analyse and improve supplier delivery performance.
- Competency in scheduling maintenance activities and aligning material needs with operational plans is key.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are essential.
- A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards is crucial.
