Medical Specialist with Advanced Substance Misuse Recovery Skills

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Substance Misuse Recovery Hub Non-Medical Prescriber to join our team at Practice Plus Group in the West Midlands Region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring your advanced nursing skills to an organization dedicated to making a difference in people's lives on a daily basis.
The Recovery Hub is a brand-new innovation aimed to enhance clinical support provided to prisons and patient groups. As a Registered Professional, you will be an integral part of the Recovery Hub team by bringing your advanced clinical skills, leadership, knowledge, and passion for care.
This position is full-time, working Monday to Friday. You will receive an annual salary up to £54,332 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide individualized packages of care identified through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with general practice teams across sites.
- Support the delivery of policy and procedures, and provide nurse education and leadership as required.
- Demonstrate all four pillars of advanced clinical practice.
Clinical Practice:
- Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs.
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patients' SMS needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national protocols.
- Work with patients to support compliance with prescribed treatments.
- Work in partnership with other services such as Psychosocial, mental health, and community providers.
Communication:
- Utilize sensitive communication styles to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment.
- Have the ability to assess patients via virtual platforms.
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognizing the need for alternative methods of communication.
Delivering a Quality Service:
- Recognize and work within own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the NMC.
- Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of patient consultations.
- Deliver care according to NSF, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based care.
- Evaluate patients' response to healthcare provision and the effectiveness of care.
Leadership, Personal, and People Development:
- Take responsibility for own learning and performance, including participating in clinical supervision.
- Support staff development to maximize potential.
