Job Summary:

Allstaff Recruitment is seeking a skilled Toolmaker - Pattern Maker to join their team in Bedford. As a Toolmaker - Pattern Maker, you will be responsible for producing patterns and moulds for various materials, working from technical drawings and templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce patterns and moulds using wet lay or cast resin methods.
  • Carry out welding to finish moulds as required.
  • Fit pins, frames, or other components into moulds and finish by hand polishing.
  • Apply paint or sealants where necessary.
  • Repair moulds in place or in the workshop as required.
  • Diagnose problems and make necessary alterations to rectify issues.

Requirements:

  • Skills and knowledge to safely operate various tools and machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience producing patterns to required standard and timescale.
  • Knowledge of production processes and tooling impact.
  • Problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
