Freight Forwarding Manager Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to join our client in Belfast, specializing in International Ocean Freight Services and general Freight Forwarding activities.

Our client has become one of the most successful International Ocean Freight providers in Northern Ireland, and they are looking to hire a Freight Forwarding Manager to oversee the overall delivery and quality of the business's services while ensuring the customer experience is of the highest level.

The ideal candidate will be a driven and ambitious individual with a strong working knowledge of the Northern Ireland market and a solid understanding of the Freight Forwarding sector.

A day-to-day hands-on approach is required, with a focus on:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dealing with all deep sea freight shipments
  • Monitoring and arranging urgent shipments
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Creating shipment files for import consignments
  • Liaising with overseas agents
  • Invoicing and administration relating to the above

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:
  • Previous experience with deep sea freight
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Planning and forecasting skills

Salary is negotiable, subject to experience.
