Salary

The salary for this role is up to £15.34 per hour, providing a competitive compensation package for candidates.

Job Description

In this role as an Aquatic Instructor, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide engaging and effective instruction, promoting a fun and safe learning environment.

You will work closely with children and their parents, communicating progress and advising on development through the programme. Additionally, you will assist in supervising customers in the swimming pool and surrounding areas, maintaining safety and discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training, and experience.
• To communicate effectively with children's parents/guardians concerning their development and advise on progression through the programme.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• A Level 2 swimming teaching qualification, with training provided for those who do not already hold it.
• A DBS check is also required for this position.
