Exciting Opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming primary school community in Plymouth.

The Role:

  • Position: Early Years Practitioner (Full Time)
  • Hours: 6.5 hours per day, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Learning Activities: Assisting with play-based and structured activities that encourage children's curiosity and support key areas of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Encouraging Social and Emotional Development: Helping to create a warm, inclusive environment where children can thrive socially and emotionally.
  • Developing Communication Skills: Engaging with children to build vocabulary, listening skills, and confidence in expressing themselves.
  • Supporting Physical Development: Assisting with activities that enhance fine and gross motor skills, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Observing and Recording Progress: Monitoring each child's development and sharing insights with the team to ensure tailored support for every child.
  • Providing Personal Care: Assisting with personal care needs to ensure children feel safe, comfortable, and supported.

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification is required.
  • Experience in an educational or early years setting is essential.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to complete a new one is necessary.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with young learners and potentially secure a permanent position.
