A reputable, forward-thinking architectural consultancy in Northampton seeks an experienced Town Planning Lead to head up their busy planning team on a part-time basis.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience in town planning to develop and grow the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading planning applications and appeals
  • Conducting site appraisals and feasibility assessments
  • Representing clients in development plan representations
  • Providing expert advice to clients and professionals
  • Project management and coordination

This award-winning consultancy works across the Midlands region delivering projects in residential and commercial sectors, including care homes, housing, flats, and industrial complexes.

Requirements

To be successful, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in private or public sector town planning
  • An RTPI accredited town planning qualification (2:1 or higher)
  • MRTPI status or working towards it
  • Excellent analytical, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong timekeeping and organisational skills
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
