About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Community Involvement Specialist. As a key member of our Involvement Team, you will be responsible for leading our volunteering work stream and developing initiatives that promote community engagement and inclusivity.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, ensuring that they are equipped to provide valuable support to our patients. You will also work closely with external partners to raise awareness about our volunteering opportunities and expand our reach within the communities we serve.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To lead on the best practice recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
  • To lead on the development of effective systems, policies, processes, and a clear pathway for volunteering as a dedicated workforce who support and enrich our services.
  • To provide individual and group support and supervision to involvement volunteers and/or workstream staff.
  • To facilitate involvement volunteer training sessions and ensure that involvement volunteers undertake any relevant training that will help them support their role effectively.
