Role Overview:

Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to work with a retail client in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of 170 shops across the UK.

The salary package includes an estimated £35,000 per annum, comprising a basic salary of £32,000 and a car allowance of £3,000.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Maintenance: Manage reactive repairs and maintenance issues, allocating tasks to contractors and updating the management system.
  • Health & Safety: Review the company's Health & Safety Policy, conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Procure, negotiate with, and coordinate contractors to ensure timely completion of work within budget.
  • Budgets: Assist the Head of Property with budget management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Health & Safety General Certification
  • An FM related qualification (IWFM) would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • A working knowledge of building management systems (electrical, HVAC, mechanical, intruder, CCTV, and fire systems)
  • Proficient with computers
