Job Title: Semi-Skilled Factory Operative

ARV Solutions Contracts is seeking a skilled Semi-Skilled Factory Operative to join our team in Newmarket. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for undertaking routine production tasks, including assembly activities, material preparation, and equipment installation.

The Role

As a Semi-Skilled Factory Operative, you will be working in our static factory facilities, cutting timber or metal wall panels, roof cassettes, and associated project kits, and assembling them ready for dispatch. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking routine production tasks, including assembly activities, material preparation, and equipment installation
  • Working effectively as part of a multi-functional team, respecting alternative professional skills and opinions
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and management
  • Meeting productivity and quality standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in carpentry or a trade background
  • Positive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively without close supervision
  • Able to drive and work the hours of 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with no overtime
  • Able to work CIS

You will also need to have an NVQ 2 in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent qualification, excellent communication skills, and your own tools, including hammer, soft mallet, nail bars, hand screwdrivers, socket sets, squares, builders' squares, chisels (rough and good), and general hand tooling.
