Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Network Architect to join our Operational Support Unit (OSU) as a Network Integration Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting innovative IP network solutions to meet the needs of front-line policing operations.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with technology that plays a crucial role in protecting the capital's safety. You will assist in the development and support of network solutions, demonstrating a flexible approach to work, occasionally outside normal office hours.

You will be accountable for your responsibilities and focus on your own self-development and effectiveness. Good communication skills, both written and orally, are vital, especially when providing technical support. This position is based in Bromley, Newlands Park, and you will work both in the workshop and out in the field, directly supporting officers every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support innovative IP network solutions
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals
  • Provide technical support to officers and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced)
  • Good understanding of technologies used in IP systems, surveillance, RF Transmission, and hardware and software development
  • Technical skills covering network devices, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and monitoring

Benefits:

  • Starting salary: £43,227
  • Location allowance: £1,841
  • Non-pensionable allowance: £1,000
