Job Description:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a ENT Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join our clinical health psychology department. As a specialist in ENT psychology, you will provide highly specialized psychological assessments, treatments, and interventions for clients and staff of the ENT service.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing highly specialized psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for clients and staff of the ENT service.
  • Awareness and ability to work with traumatic injuries/illnesses issues interacting with other aspects of psychological functioning.
  • Assessing and monitoring risk, drawing up appropriate risk management plans.
  • Acting as coordinator for someone's care within the hospital or as liaison between the acute hospital and community services.
  • Servicing families and other significant members of a patient's network, responding to their state, needs, and where appropriate, death.

You will be responsible for working as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, guided by principles and policies or procedures of the service, taking responsibility for interpreting policies within defined parameters.

Person Specification:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Registration with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
  • Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist under supervision in a health psychology specialty.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
