Site Manager Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead our team in the construction of a 35 million high bay industrial unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial unit construction, steel frame construction, and HV/LV electrical works.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct the necessary labour, plant, staff, and equipment to achieve project completion on time, to specification, and within budget.
  2. Monitor that the Engineering Team orders the correct materials and sub-contract services in good time to meet contract objectives.
  3. Daily supervision and coordination of on-site staff, sub-contractors, plant, and materials, including information management and meticulous record keeping of all relevant paperwork.
  4. Manage site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions.
  5. Ensure compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations.
  6. Maintain strict quality control procedures, conduct regular site safety checks, toolbox talks, and inductions.
  7. Ensure that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers leading to provision of a working environment that engenders high morale.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working on industrial units, from inception to completion, up to values of at least 35 million.
  2. Experience of managing all aspects of the build process, including health and safety obligations and building legislation.
  3. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications.
  4. Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  5. Strong team leadership skills.
  6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to think ahead.
  7. Strong customer focus and customer service skills.

This is a 12-month contract with a respectable contractor and well-established site team. All Site Manager applicants MUST be able to provide two credible references.
