Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality food to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of senior colleagues and provide support for the production team.
  • Direct the preparation and duties of commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
  • Assist in ordering, prep, stock control, and running service and clean down.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety guidelines and systems.
  • Improve and maximize the use of existing stocks where necessary.
  • Work with the front-of-house team to drive service excellence.
  • Train, guide, and develop the kitchen team to achieve high standards.
  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
  • Prepare, produce, and present food to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Basic IT skills, with Microsoft packages experience.
  • Experience in menu planning and production.
  • Exposure to bulk cooking.
  • The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
  • A positive and approachable manner.
