Senior Bridge Engineer Opportunity

A challenging role has arisen for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team in Salford. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking and overseeing bridge maintenance projects, including structural bridge assessments, design and check calculations, and feasibility studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by producing, developing and overseeing sound bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale.
  • Develop and design solutions in accordance with National design standards.
  • Production and oversight of designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations.
  • Contribute to the regular reporting of progress to clients by communicating with line managers regarding their progress against planned programme.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE or equivalent).
  • Experience in a similar role within Highways.
  • Proven experience of bridge design standards and analysis.
  • Management and delivery of projects to programme and budget constraints.
