Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our shop, working closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in the overall management of the shop, including staff supervision, customer service, and stock control.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and team performance.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Take responsibility for the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.
  • Support the Shop Manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

  • A friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Proven experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor, with a track record of success in a retail environment.
