Quantitative Researcher/Trader - eFX Market Making

We are seeking a skilled Quantitative Researcher/Trader to join our eFX market making business in London.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Apply statistical methods to extract valuable insights from trade flow to optimize pricing and liquidity for various FX clients
  • Research, test, and implement quantitative price discovery and trading strategies for our electronic FX market making business
  • Analyse proprietary data to grow profitability and enhance client satisfaction
  • Risk manage trading flow via trading algorithms during Asian trading hours

Key Activities:

  • Develop new methods to systematically optimize pricing and liquidity delivery to clients
  • Research new market making pricing strategies
  • Design and backtest systematic trading signals using market data and proprietary information
  • Coordinate with IT to bring new trading strategies to production
  • Stay updated with the latest research on algorithmic trading
  • Manage global trading books during Asian hours, ensuring compliance with risk profiles and risk limits
  • Identify client patterns and develop strategic proposals to maximize franchise success
  • Respond to sales/client queries in a timely and transparent fashion

Requirements:

  • Experience in applying quantitative techniques to optimize electronic market making businesses
  • Strong background in statistics and statistical programming
  • Knowledge and experience with FX markets preferred
  • High competency level with q/kdb+ and Java preferred

Education:

  • Postgraduate degree in a numerate field
