Purchasing Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our team at Morgan Gray. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing function across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in purchasing/supply chain management and a proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost savings initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing Process Management: Develop and implement effective purchasing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
• Inventory Management: Analyze inventory levels and develop strategies to minimize stockholding and optimize cash flow.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of purchasing professionals to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field: We require a degree in supply chain management or a related field such as business administration or logistics.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain management is essential.
• CIPS Qualification: A CIPS qualification or formal supply chain certification is highly desirable.
• ERP/MRP System Experience: Experience with ERP/MRP systems is required.

Benefits:

• Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
