Clinical Specialist Nurse

A leading specialist healthcare provider, Leaders in Care UK, is seeking a qualified Dual Diagnosis Specialist Nurse to work within our multidisciplinary team in Newham. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist clinical interventions to individuals who require support for both mental health and substance misuse issues.
In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and develop close working relationships with local NHS trusts to improve access to mental health services and substance misuse support. Your primary objective will be to reduce the burden on emergency and healthcare services while enhancing the health and wellbeing of individuals and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bespoke interventions for service users, aiming to engage them in the most suitable service for their needs.
- Support the development of joint working protocols with mental health services and substance misuse services.
- Conduct specialist mental health assessments and formulate written reports as necessary.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a first-level registered nurse with recent relevant post-qualification experience and a current PIN. You must also possess the ability to assess and recovery plan service users, formulate written reports, and deliver quality services. A professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards service users is essential.
