About the Role

This is a hybrid position based in Swindon, where you will work on supporting legacy data processes (SSIS/SSRS) and data migrations as required. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the Azure SQL/Synapse metadata framework for Data Engineering.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with T-SQL, SSIS/SSRS, and data modelling fundamentals. Knowledge of Agile working and Azure DevOps is also essential. If you are interested in data technologies, Microsoft Azure, and DevOps, this could be the perfect role for you.

We offer a competitive salary of £42,500 per annum, plus a 7.5% bonus scheme and pension contributions. Our benefits package includes 27 days' holiday, flexible benefits, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Engineering Support: Assist in designing and maintaining the Azure SQL/Synapse metadata framework for Data Engineering.
  2. Pipeline Development: Collaborate in developing Azure Synapse pipelines to load source data to the Data Lake and provide data to the Report layer(s) Power BI.
  3. Data Transformations: Perform data transformations as per mapping documents.
  4. Best Practices: Participate in ensuring best practices are adhered to in the handling and management of data by the team.
  5. Data Support: Support the data office and other data consumers within the organisation.
  6. Migration: Migrate data and processes from legacy systems to Azure Synapse.
