Job Overview
GLG Vets is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to provide exceptional veterinary care in Dagenham, Greater London. As part of our dynamic and collaborative team, you will work 40 hours a week with a weekend rota of 1 in 3, enjoying days off in lieu and no out-of-hours work. The annual salary for this role is £65,000.

About the Role
Our ideal candidate will perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. They will conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. In addition, they will collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients. A key aspect of this role is providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness. Accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress are also essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
