Electronics Solution Lead

Leonardo is seeking an Electronics Solution Lead to join our Communications and Force Protection Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering equipment to protect the UK Armed Forces from IEDs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting our Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) programmes, you will develop subsystem engineering solutions and specifications.
  • Operating at a product system level, you will specify and define electronic COTS items such as Open VPX chassis, General Purpose Graphics Processing Units, High-Speed Network Interface Controllers, and RF devices.
  • System Integration: You will work as part of the system integration team to realise those solutions.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Experience of operating at the product system level, specifying and defining COTS items, working with subcontract suppliers, specifying Open VPX backplane solutions (or similar standards), and system-level integration.
