Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Consultant Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in air quality consulting and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

The primary function of this role will be to work within the Air Quality team, providing technical expertise and support to clients across various sectors. This will include dispersion modelling, ambient air quality monitoring, and project management.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a scientific discipline and significant experience in an air quality consultancy or a similar organisation. They will also have excellent technical background and numerical skills, with extensive experience in using ADMS and ADMS-Roads.

As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from development planning to renewable energy, and will be supported by our experienced team of Technical Directors.

Responsibilities
  1. Dispersion modelling using ADMS and ADMS-Roads, with opportunities to work with other dispersion modelling software.
  2. Designing and implementing ambient air quality monitoring plans.
  3. Project management to budget, programme and scope.
  4. Supporting the strategic direction of the South West and Wales air quality team.
  5. Liaising with both internal and external clients, project teams, Local Authorities, and national government bodies.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in an air quality consultancy or a similar organisation.
  • A degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Excellent technical background and numerical skills, with extensive experience in using ADMS and ADMS-Roads.
  • Ambient air quality monitoring experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge and demonstrable understanding of relevant legislation, policy, technical guidance and industry standards and best practice relating to air quality.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including experience in data analysis and interpretation using Excel and GIS.
  • Associate or full membership of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM).
  • Experience of project management, supervision and quality assurance of packages of work.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports/proposals.
  • Positive and proactive approach, demonstrating accountability for their own utilisation and personal development.
  • Full Clean UK Driving licence.
