About the Role


Scouts is seeking a Regional Development Specialist to join our team in Oxfordshire. This role will involve working 35 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends, on a fixed-term two-year contract.



Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is £31,716 per annum, level 3, plus mileage expenses. As a member of our team, you will have access to a range of benefits that support your personal and professional growth.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement regional development strategies to drive local growth initiatives.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL PARTNERS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO PROMOTE COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION.
  • MONITOR AND EVALUATE PROJECT PROGRESS TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE USE OF RESOURCES AND MEETINGS OF OBJECTIVES.
  • MANAGE BUDGETS AND RESOURCES TO OPTIMIZE OUTCOMES AND DELIVER VALUE TO SCOUTS AND THE COMMUNITY.
  • WORK CLOSELY WITH THE TEAM TO ACHIEVE REGIONAL GROWTH OBJECTIVES AND SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONAL AMBITIONS.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in community development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of regional development principles and practices.
