We are seeking a highly motivated SEN Caseworker to join our team at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a passion for improving education for children with Special Education Needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with schools, settings, and parents to provide advice and guidance on Communication and Interaction needs. They will also engage in direct work with children and young people, developing plans and providing individually tailored support.

As a key member of the SEND Assessment and Reviews Team, you will be responsible for determining underlying C&I needs, developing strategies, and modelling approaches. Your work will involve travelling to various school settings, attending virtual meetings, and collaborating with specialist teachers and other caseworkers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in Stockton Borough. You will have the chance to develop your knowledge and skills, attend training, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality education to students with Special Education Needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the impact of C&I needs on children and young people. They will be able to work flexibly and positively with a range of stakeholders to influence and encourage adults around a child and improve outcomes.

This is a fixed-term contract for 2 years, offering a competitive salary of up to £34,834 per annum. The role also includes a range of benefits, including 27 days annual leave rising to 32 with 5 years service, a generous pension scheme, and access to learning & development opportunities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving education for children with SEN, has experience working with children and young people with SEN, and is able to work flexibly and positively with a range of different stakeholders.
