About the Role:

As a Senior Technical Apparel Designer at LeMieux, you will play a key role in leading the design and development of our performance wear categories. This involves working closely with the Head of Design to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, quality, and style. You will be responsible for leading the design process from concept to final production, working collaboratively with the wider design team to ensure cohesion across categories, and mentoring junior designers to foster a creative and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process for assigned categories, from concept to final production.
• Work collaboratively with the design team to share ideas and ensure cohesive collections across categories.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering a creative and productive environment.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design direction and innovation.
• Develop and present design concepts, technical specifications, and prototypes.
• Oversee the execution of design details, ensuring adherence to brand standards and quality requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in apparel design, with a focus on technical and performance wear.
• Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and performance technologies.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
