Job Title: Optometrist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist Specialist to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in optometry, with significant experience in clinical leadership and operational management.

The role will involve providing specialist optometric services to patients, including prescribing and reviewing medication, as well as participating in multidisciplinary clinics and working closely with the Ophthalmology Management team.

">

In addition to your clinical skills, you will also be responsible for contributing to teaching, audit, and clinical governance requirements of the Ophthalmology service. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, influencing the building of effective relationships between staff, leading and motivating the team, and demonstrating commitment to patient care and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Optometry or equivalent qualification, along with higher degree or postgraduate qualification in Optometry, and Independent / non-medical prescriber qualification. You will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic professional with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, we would love to hear from you.
