Job Title: Optometrist Specialist
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optometrist Specialist to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in optometry, with significant experience in clinical leadership and operational management.
">The role will involve providing specialist optometric services to patients, including prescribing and reviewing medication, as well as participating in multidisciplinary clinics and working closely with the Ophthalmology Management team.
">In addition to your clinical skills, you will also be responsible for contributing to teaching, audit, and clinical governance requirements of the Ophthalmology service. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, influencing the building of effective relationships between staff, leading and motivating the team, and demonstrating commitment to patient care and safety.
">The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Optometry or equivalent qualification, along with higher degree or postgraduate qualification in Optometry, and Independent / non-medical prescriber qualification. You will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
">The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic professional with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, we would love to hear from you.
