About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher to join our dynamic and supportive team at Ark Alexandra Academy in Hastings, East Sussex. As an English teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and educating young minds, fostering a love for English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Articulate a passion for English language and literature, inspiring students to develop a love for the subject
  • Communicate effectively with students of all abilities, tailoring your teaching approach to meet their individual needs
  • Care deeply about students, their learning, and their futures, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential
  • Manage behaviour effectively, creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that enables students to focus on learning
  • Participate in professional development programmes, engaging in mentoring opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and contribute to the school's continuous improvement
